These Terms & Conditions are an umbrella document that governs your access to and use of all products and services operated by CHKDSK Labs, including websites, web applications, browser extensions, and open-source tools. By using any of our products or services, you agree to these Terms. Individual products may publish supplemental terms that should be read alongside this document.

1. Acceptable Use

  • Use our products only for lawful purposes.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt, probe, or gain unauthorized access to systems, APIs, or data.
  • Do not circumvent or attempt to circumvent rate limits, plan restrictions, usage quotas, or other safeguards.
  • You are responsible for the content you submit through forms, tickets, or other input channels.
  • Do not reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of our services except where expressly allowed by law or license.

2. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and software are owned by CHKDSK Labs or its licensors and protected by applicable laws. You may not copy, republish, redistribute, or reverse engineer any part of our services except where expressly allowed by law or license.

Open-source projects: HissCheck, L-BOM, GUI-BOM, and CrabTalk are distributed under the MIT License. Use, modification, and redistribution of these projects is governed by the MIT License terms included in each repository, not by this section.

3. Third-Party Services

We rely on third-party providers for hosting, content delivery, payment processing, analytics, and other infrastructure. Provider availability and policies are outside of our direct control.

4. Security and Reporting

We maintain technical and organizational controls to protect our services, but no system is perfectly secure.

5. Disclaimers

Our products and services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CHKDSK Labs disclaims all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CHKDSK Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from use of our products or services. This includes damages arising from reliance on AI-generated outputs, failed operations, or third-party service outages.

7. Privacy and Data Processing

Our data practices are documented in the Privacy Policy, and applicable processing terms are documented in the Data Processing Agreement. Both documents apply across all CHKDSK Labs products and services.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when our services or legal obligations change. The latest version is always posted on this page with the updated date.
